Road Work : I-35 work begins between Winston and Pattonsburg

Multi-week road projects were scheduled to begin on Wednesday across the area. That includes Interstate 35 in Daviess County, between Winston and Pattonsburg. MoDOT said crews will be cutting large holes in the concrete and pouring new concrete in those areas.

The $1,900,000 concrete pavement repair project was awarded to Interstate Improvement. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of June, weather permitting.

Highway 129 in eastern Linn County is to be resurfaced beginning on Wednesday. The 15 mile project is between Highway 36 near Bucklin and Highway 11 in New Boston. The $1,300,000 project was awarded to APAC-Missouri and also includes four miles of overlay on Mercer County Route N in the Cainsville area. The Mercer County project was scheduled to begin this Friday. Each project was to take about two weeks, weather permitting.

Route C in Worth and Gentry Counties was to be resurfaced, beginning Wednesday. The 17 mile long project begins at Highway 46 in Allendale (Worth County) and extends to Highway 136 in Albany (Gentry County).

A contract is nearly $1,045,000 was awarded to Norris Asphalt Paving Company. The project was anticipated to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
