Automobile Accidents : Highway 6 accident injures Novinger man

A single vehicle accident just east of Green Castle on Monday afternoon injured a man from Novinger. The Highway Patrol said 62-year old Phil Ruggles received MODERATE injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The Patrol said Ruggles was eastbound when his pickup traveled off the south side of Highway 6. The driver then over-corrected, and the truck left the road where it struck a tree before stopping in a ditch. The vehicle was demolished in the accident nearly two miles east of Green Castle.
