Drivers of two vehicles were injured in an accident early on Tuesday afternoon three miles east of Chillicothe. The Highway Patrol described injuries as minor for 33-year old Lindsey Cranmer of Chillicothe and 22-year old Morgan Ireland of Dawn. Both were taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

The Highway Patrol said both cars were eastbound on U.S. 36 when the auto driven by Ms. Ireland slowed to make a right turn into a private drive. Her car was then struck from behind. The Patrol said the Ireland car skidded off the road and into a ditch. Both cars were demolished. Neither driver was using a seat belt.
