KTTN/KGOZ News : Three arrested, accused in Trenton business burglary
Posted by John on 2013/3/6 5:00:00 (202 reads) News by the same author

Trenton Police have arrested three suspects in connection with a recent burglary of a business in the north side of the city. Chief Tommy Wright reports three Trenton residents were taken into custody Tuesday on warrants involving burglary, attempted burglary, and stealing.

Facing charges in Grundy County are 29 year old Jonathan Lee Davis; 18 year old Shelby Nicole Dempsay; and 18 year old Alicia Dawn Garner--all in the 1000 Block of Custer.

Specifically, Davis has two felony counts: burglary and attempted burglary, and one
count of misdemeanor stealing. His bond is 15 thousand dollars cash. The two girls face a
felony charge of attempted burglary and a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.
Their bonds are 75 hundred dollars cash each.

On Friday, Trenton Police responded to a burglary complaint at Barnes Greenhouse, in the 3000 block of Pleasant Plain. During the investigation, using video surveillance footage, Chief Wright said officers were able to initially identify the suspects believed to have been involved in the burglary. Officers served a search warrant Monday on the suspect’s residence in the 1000 Block of Custer. Police recovered several allegedly stolen items taken from the business with a property value of several hundred dollars.

In a news release issued yesterday afternoon, Chief Wright commended the actions of the officers, indicating what he described as their diligence, hard work, and attention to
detail was a significant factor in solving the burglary.

Chief Wright also applauded the cooperation and assistance of Barnes Greenhouse and surrounding businesses for deploying video surveillance in efforts to assist Trenton Police who made the arrests and with the subsequent prosecution in the circuit court.
