The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates saw their season come to an end on Saturday afternoon, in a 66-48 loss to Region 16 top-seed Penn Valley in a semifinal played at State Fair Community College in Sedalia.

The Lady Pirates had the game tied at 29 at halftime, but poor shooting doomed the North Central women from that point. NCMC shot 26 percent from the field and only 13 percent (3 of 24) from three-point range. Amanda Rodenberg, in her last game as a Lady Pirate, led North Central with 15 points. Mysti Williams and Samone Redditt each scored 10.

Named All-Region 16 first team prior to the game were North Central sophomores Mysti Williams (from Bethany) and Amanda Rodenberg. Named All-Region second team from NCMC were Kelsey Griffin and Samone Redditt.

The win advances Penn Valley into the Region 16 championship game on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock against either Cottey College or St. Louis. That game will also be played on the State Fair campus in Sedalia.
