Three Azle, Texas residents were hurt north of Bethany when a sport utility vehicle went out of control on slush-covered Interstate 35 and overturned into the median.
The driver, 27-year old Nicholas Cote and a passenger, 21-year old Kayla Bellows, received what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries. Another passenger, two-year old Jayda Bellows, received 'minor' injuries. All three people were taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
The accident was Tuesday afternoon about six miles north of Bethany on I-35. The investigating officer said the southbound SUV went out of control on the slush-covered road, went into the median and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. The SUV was demolished. The three people involved in the wreck were wearing seat belts. |
