The Trenton boys played their best offensive half of the season on Tuesday night, scoring 42 points in leading the fourth-seeded Lawson Cardinals 42-40 at the half. Unfortunately for Trenton, the Bulldogs slumped in the third quarter, outscored 21-7, and the "Black and Gold", despite a fourth quarter rally, fell short in a 79-66 final from Bishop LeBlond High School. Tuesday night's game was broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.

Trenton's offense was paced by Colby Larson, who finished his four-year career with 18 points, while Austin Taul added 14 points (including three 3 point shots), Chase Tolson 11, and Seth Acton 10 points. Trenton finishes the season with a winning record for the first time under Coach Jeremy Austin, at 15-11.

Lawson, in moving to 18-8 on the season, was led by Garrett Titus with 27 points, while Spencer Wood had 17 points (nine of those coming in the Cardinals' third quarter surge), and Blake Edwards with 16. The Cardinals advance to play the top-seeded Cameron Dragons in Friday night's semifinals in Class 3, District 16 at Bishop LeBlond.

Other boys finals from TUESDAY night at St. Joseph were: Cameron 73, Hamilton 40; Maryville 75, Plattsburg 26; and Bishop LeBlond 48, Lathrop 35. Friday night's scheduled semifinals are Maryville vs. LeBlond and Lawson vs. Cameron.
