KTTN/KGOZ Sports : NCMC softball signs Brashear High School all-stater
Posted by Tom on 2013/2/21 11:32:10 (168 reads) News by the same author

Shelby Salter, a senior at Adair Co. R-II High School, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Shelby Salter is the daughter of Lonnie and Kim Salter of Brashear.

NCMC Coach Megan Cairns stated, “Shelby will bring a lot of athleticism and versatility. She played shortstop for Adair R-II, but we believe she can be a true utility player for us as she already has the skills needed to compete at the collegiate level. We hope we are able to coach her up even higher. Shelby is a tremendous student and person that we expect to fit in perfectly with the atmosphere we are establishing in our program.â€

At Adair R-II, Shelby earned First Team Tri-County Conference and First Team All-State honors and was on the A Honor Roll. She was in the National Honor Society, FBLA and the Math and Science Club. Eventually she plans to major in elementary education.
