News : Forty-four people begin "Highway Patrol training"

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that 44 people reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on January 16th, to begin the 25-week training course to become a trooper. The 96th Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on July 12, 2013.

The average age of the members of the 96th Recruit Class is 26 years. Of the recruits, two have attended some college, four have earned an associate’s degree, nine have above 60 credit hours, but less than 120 hours, and 22 hold bachelor’s degrees. Seven of the recruits have prior military experience.

As of February 19, 2013, 39 recruits remain in the Academy. Listed below are the names and hometowns for members of the 96th Recruit Class:
