A Princeton resident was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving traveled off Highway 136 east of Princeton after a tire went flat. Seventy-eight year old Eula Blakesley was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton with what the Highway Patrol called SERIOUS injuries.
The accident was shortly after 12 noon on Wednesday, three miles east of Princeton on Highway 136. The Patrol said the right front tire on the westbound SUV went flat, causing the vehicle to go off the right side of the road. The SUV crossed a secondary road, and hit a ditch, before coming to rest in a fence row. The vehicle received extensive damage. Ms. Blakesley was wearing a seat belt.
