The Trenton Lady Bulldogs have won 20 games in a season for the first time since 2005, claiming a 44-41 victory over the visiting Cameron Dragons on Tuesday night, in a Senior Night battle broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.

Makaila Capeder led Trenton in the victory with 12 points, with McKinley Hurley adding nine points, including a crucial stretch of four-for-four free throw shooting in the last minute of regulation. Trenton, despite their 20-4 record, has a #6 seed for next week's Class 3, District 16 tournament in St. Joseph. However, the Lady Bulldogs have a chance to defeat that district's top two seeds this week, with the win over the #2 seed Cameron followed by Thursday night's regular season finale at #1 seed Penney (Hamilton).

Cameron, with the loss, falls to 14-10 on the campaign. Ashli Lykins had 15 points and Ashley Wills 12 for the Lady Dragons.

The Cameron boys rolled over Trenton in the nightcap, proving their worth as next week's #1 seed with an 81-37 win over the Bulldogs. Tyler Roberts had 23 points, Carter Morrison 16, and Colton Boyer 13 for Cameron, now 17-7 with the win. The Dragons, at 5-1 in the Midland Empire Conference, end their regular season on Friday night at Chillicothe. Trenton, now 14-10 with the loss, did not have a player in double figures.
