Sports : Trenton breaks losing streaks, routs Milan on Thursday night

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs broke a two-game losing skid, while the Trenton boys broke a three-game slide, with home court victories over the Milan Wildcats on Thursday night, in a doubleheader broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3 and 'Internet TV'.

The Trenton girls cruised to a 53-25 over the Lady 'Cats, with Scotlin Hurley scoring 17 points, Cassidy Cotton 11, and Makaila Capeder 10 for Trenton. Milan was led by six points each from Summer Greybuffalo and Andra Sylvester. The win improves Trenton to 17-3, while dropping Milan to 11-9.

The Trenton boys rolled past the Wildcats to a 75-37 victory, with Colby Larson scoring 18 points, Hunter Treadwell 12, and Wilson Utley 10 points the Bulldogs. Jordan Eddy and Raul Palacios led Milan with eight points each, with John Piodos adding seven. The Trenton Bulldogs are now 11-8 on the season, while the Milan Wildcats drop to 6-14.

The Trenton boys will host Plattsburg on Wednesday night before traveling to Putnam County on Friday night (both next week, February 6th and 8th), with 7:30 tip times scheduled for both contests. Milan played host to Knox County on Friday night, and lost both ends of the doubleheader to the visiting Eagles. Milan has two road games remaining in its 2012-2013 CONFERENCE season.
