The Missouri Department of Transportation says travelers using Highway 139 in the Sumner area will need to find an alternate route during daytime hours beginning Monday. That is because MoDOT will be doing subsurface examinations of the Stanley Lake Bridge. Crews will be drilling from the top of the bridge to collect date to plan for a future structure.
The work will last about THREE weeks from 7:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday of each week. The exception will be Tuesday, February 12th, which is a holiday for Abraham Lincoln's birthday.
Project engineer Wes Moore says the bridge will be OPEN during the evening/overnight hours. The work is weather dependent, and could be rescheduled. |
