One person was killed and another suffered SERIOUS injuries on Friday night when a car overturned off a road northeast of Grant City, throwing both teenage boys from the vehicle. Fatally injured was the driver, 17-year old Cody Schrock of Grant City. A passenger, 17-year old Justin Smith of Grant City, was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Albany with what the Highway Patrol described as SERIOUS injuries.
The accident was on Worth County Route Y. The investigating officer said the northbound car traveled off the right side of the road, overturned at least twice, and came to rest on its top. The vehicle was demolished. Neither of the teens was wearing a seat belt. |
