Posted by Tom on 2013/1/18 10:30:00 (612 reads) News by the same author

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs and Hamilton Lady Hornets, two teams with a total of just THREE losses between them, have the top two seeds for next week's Hamilton Basketball Tournament, to run from Monday, January 21st to Saturday, January 26th at Penney High School.

Behind 43 points from senior guard Elsie Greenwood, Hamilton rallied for a home-court victory on Thursday night against a strong Cameron Lady Dragon team, 63-60, improving to 11-2 on the season. The 43 points broke the Penney High School record for points in a single game set in the 1970's. Cameron's loss drops that squad to 10-5 on the season. Ashli Lykins scored 19 points and Melia Richardson 16 for CHS.

Here are the matchups for the Hamilton Basketball Tournament. The girl's and boy's tournaments are each SEVEN teams deep this season, meaning the use of BOTH brackets and pool play to decide on championship, third place, and consolation final games.
