A Wednesday morning accident in rural Livingston County injured a man from Dawn. The Highway Patrol said 26-year old Bradley Baughman received SERIOUS injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Baughman's truck was traveling eastbound on Route DD, when he failed to notice the stop sign at Route C, traveled through the intersection, and ran off the east side of the road where it struck an embankment. The Patrol said the driver was able to walk away from the scene and later went by private vehicle to the hospital. The pickup was demolished in the accident one mile north of Dawn. Baughman was NOT wearing a seat belt.
The Highway Patrol has now verified that charges against Baughman are pending, including Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Revoked, Failure to Halt for a Stop Sign, and Failure to Drive on the Right Side of the Road.
