News : "Texas Hold 'Em" poker tournament to be held Saturday

Two prizes will be awarded to the champion of the First Annual "Texas Hold 'Em" poker tournament on Saturday, January 19th in Chillicothe, sponsored by the North Missouri Sportsman's Alliance. The champion will receive a Quest Heat compound bow donated by North Missouri Outdoors and a 10-22 Ruger rifle donated by Rogers Pawn an Gun valued at more than $800.00. The poker tournament is a fundraiser for the Share the Harvest program of Livingston, Daviess, Linn, and Carroll Counties.

The tournament is limited to the first 75 to register. Entry fees are $40.00 in advance and $50.00 at the door. The tournament begins at 12 noon on Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chillicothe. The doors open Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. A variety of prizes will be available for the top players, with cash buy-backs as an option. Pre-registration can be done by contacting Scott Englert or Steve Shoot in Chillicothe.
