Registration for the First Annual Poker Tournament, sponsored by the North Missouri Sportsman's Alliance (NMSA), is going well, with over half of the allotted seats already filled.

The NMSA, a non-profit organization, has organized the tournament to raise funds to support the Share The Harvest program in the counties of Carroll, Daviess, Linn and Livingston.

The poker tournament will be held Saturday, January 19, at the Knights of Columbus hall in Chillicothe. The field of players is limited to the first 75 to register. Pre-registration fees are $40 per player. At the door the entry fee is $50. A concession stand will be operated throughout the event, which begins promptly at 12 noon. Doors will open at the Knight's Hall at 11 a.m. A variety of prizes will be available for the top players with cash buy-backs as an option.

Anyone wishing to pre-register for the tournament as asked to contact Scott Englert at 707-2372 or Steve Shoot at 752-8010.
