The Trenton High School wrestling team placed fourth out of nine schools involved in Saturday's Butler High School Invitational. Athletes were divided into pools, with first place finishers from one pool meeting and first place finisher from the other pool. Second place finishers from each pool met, and so on, depending on pool placement.

Trenton 170 pounder Jacob Spillman placed first with a 4-0 record, all of those victories coming by pin. Carlos Gonzalez was first at 113 pounds with a 3-0 record. Wynne DeVorss was first at 126 pounds with a 3-1 mark, Mason Mounce was second at 152 pounds with a 4-1 record, and Dalton Ellis was second at 132 pounds with a 3-2 record.

Lathrop won the Butler Wrestling Tournament, with Rogers (Arkasnsas) second, Holden third, and Trenton fourth. Team scores were not available. Trenton Head Coach Charlie Bacon said it was good for the Bulldogs to wrestle against opponents from SOUTHERN Missouri, and he said overall, the Bulldogs did 'well':

At the Mid-Buchanan Tournament on Saturday, Plattsburg won the team title by ten points over Penney (Hamilton). Plattsburg had 221 points, Penney 211, South Harrison 192, Higginsville 140 1/2, and fifth place Maryville 123. Those scores were followed by West Platte, Centralia, Maysville, Mid-Buchanan, Albany, St. Pius X, and Lone Jack.
