Sports : Ridgeway beats Princeton at NCMC Holiday Hoops

The Ridgeway boys continue to play strong basketball this season, dominating the second half in Thursday afternoon's Holiday Hoops game with Princeton, winning 59-42, in a game broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7.

Ridgeway pulled away from the Tigers, outscoring PHS 35-19 in the second half. Junior guard Ben Rinehart led the Owls with 29 points, with senior forward Joe Longo adding 13, and junior forward Matthew Craig 12 points.

For Princeton, Brant Faulkner had 23 points. The Princeton boys will play Southwest Livingston on Wednesday night, January 2nd, as part of NCMC Holiday Hoops, with that game scheduled for broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3.

In Thursday MORNING finals from the Ketcham Community Center, the Braymer girls doubled up Ridgeway 40-20, the Braymer boys beat Novinger 54-37, the Rock Port girls beat Novinger 47-34, and the Rock Port boys downed Winston 53-33.

In final scores from Thursday night, the Nodaway-Holt girls beat Hardin-Central 56-42, the Hardin-Central boys beat Nodaway-Holt 69-46, and the Lawson Lady Cards downed Savannah 58-40.
