Two cars, that collided at a Trenton intersection, left six persons with various injuries. It happened at 28th street and U-S Highway 65 Monday afternoon.
Involved was a westbound car on 28th driven by 40 year old Nicole Franklin of 385 Southwest Highway W-W at Trenton and a southbound vehicle on 65 operated by 45 year old Terry Lee Hearn of 319 Southwest 52nd Avenue at Trenton.
A police report said four occupants of the Franklin car received what were described as serious injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital. In addition to Mrs. Franklin, three of the occupants were children:
13 year old Tanner James Franklin, nine year old Delaney Rae Franklin, and four year old Darbey NiCole Franklin.
Two persons in the Hearn vehicle sustained what were called moderate injuries. The driver, Terry Hearn and one passenger: 18 year old Robert Lee Hearn, were treated at the scene and released. Another passenger, 17 year old Wilson Clark Hearn, was the only person to escape injury.
Police said damage to both vehicles was extensive. A citation was issued to NiCole Franklin accusing her of failure to yield to oncoming traffic at a stop intersection.
