Tuesday marks the opening day to file for April's general election at Chillicothe City Hall. Eight incumbents who currently hold positions in the City of Chillicothe's government have filed for re-election.

The seven filing this (Tuesday) morning are Mayor Chuck Haney, City Constable Richard Knouse, City Clerk Rozanne Frampton, City Auditor Teresa Gatson-Kelly, 1st Ward Councilman Reed Dupy, 2nd Ward Councilman Wayne Cunningham, 3rd Ward Councilman Tom Douglas, and Councilman At-Large David Moore.

Filing on Wednesday morning for a City Council position in Chillicothe was Paul Howard of 850 Glenwood Drive. Howard is the first candidate for the 4th Ward Council position up for election in April. That is when Pam Jarding's term expires.

The last day to file is Tuesday, January 15th, 2013 (at Chillicothe City Hall). The general election in Chillicothe will be held on April 2, 2013.
