Donated items are being sought for a Chillicothe family who lost belongings in a fire at their residence on Monday night. The Chillicothe Fire Department says about 100 gallons of water and foam were used to extinguish smoldering embers in the attic and ceiling joists in the kitchen area at 104 East Second Street in Chillicothe.

The house is the residence of the Elizabeth Sisson family. All family members escaped the fire safely. Firefighters were on the scene about 45 minutes. No injuries were reported.

A Chillicothe woman, described as someone who has a daughter who is a friend of Elizabeth Vennaman Sisson, says everything in a bedroom and most everything in the kitchen were lost, including clothing and Christmas gifts.
