Announcement was made today of the raffle ticket winning number drawn recently. The sale of tickets generated funds for the placement of a flag pole at the Grundy County Museum. Mark Robinson conducted the raffle which he said raised 12-hundred dollars to finance the project.

The winning ticket has the following numbers:
7 9 7 6 1 6 2

The person holding the winning ticket needs to provide proof. Robinson said that person can claim their prize at the Trenton Chamber of Commerce office.

The winner receives the last two flags to fly from the OLD five points flag pole. One is the United States flag and the other is a prisoner of war / missing in action flag. If the flags are not claimed, Robinson said they will be donated to the museum.

There is a NEW flag pole and a larger U-S flag at the five points intersection as a result of funds donated by numerous persons and businesses. It was dedicated during a Memorial Day program.

The OLD flag pole had stood for many years at the same location. It is to be re-installed out in front of the Grundy County Museum.

Again, the winning raffle ticket number is
7 9 7 6 1 6 2.

Robinson thanked Grand River Press of Trenton for donating services in the printing of raffle tickets for that fund raiser.
