Playing against tough competition from the Jayhawk Community College Conference in Kansas last week, the North Central Missouri College women lost three games in a row, while the Pirate men lost twice (at Allen County and against nationally-ranked Barton County). On Tuesday night, in Lamoni, Iowa, NCMC was able to get back into the win column.

The Lady Pirates beat the Yellowjackets JV by a score of 89-51, with Amanda Rodenberg scoring 20 points, Mysti Williams 15, Lexi Hope and Alex Goodwin 13 each, and Whitney Bennett 11. The win improves North Central's season record to 5-5, with the Lady Pirates now in preparation for a road trip to Miami, Florida for games this Friday night and Saturday afternoon. These will be the final games of 2012 for NCMC.

The North Central men finished the 2012 portion of their schedule with a 80-61 road win at Graceland, improving to 5-4. The Pirates are now off until AFTER Christmas break. In Tuesday night's victory, Eric McDaniel had 20 points and nine rebounds, with Marshon Norfleet adding 18 points and five rebounds. Derreon Parker had 13 points and Eddie Poland 10 points for the Pirate men.
