A Gallatin resident was injured when the car she was driving went off Daviess County Route DD and hit two embankments. Thirty-four year old Stacey Collins of Gallatin was taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center with what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries.
The accident was Saturday morning five miles northwest of Gallatin on Route DD. The investigating officer said the southbound car went off the road at a curve, began to slide, returned to the pavement, then ran off the road again, hit an embankment, rotated, returned to Route DD, slid off the road and hit another embankment. The car came to rest on its wheels, and sustained moderate damage. Ms. Collins was wearing a seat belt.
