A Gallatin resident was hurt in a weather-related accident when the pickup truck she was driving went through a T-intersection and overturned east of Gallatin. Sixteen-year old Kourtney Bird was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
The accident was late Saturday night two miles east of Gallatin at Highway 6 and Daviess County Route K. The Patrol said the pickup was southbound on Route K, and because of the foggy conditions, she did not see a stop sign. The pickup went across Highway 6, off the south side of Highway 6, and overturned once, demolishing the vehicle. Ms. Bird was wearing a seat belt. |
