KTTN/KGOZ Sports : Grundy R-5 suffers doubleheader sweep at Eagleville

The North Harrison Shamrocks opened HDC Conference play on Tuesday night with a girl's and boy's varsity basketball win over the visiting Grundy R-5 Panthers. In the girls game, North Harrison defeated the Lady Panthers by a final score of 47-27.

Abby Gibson led North Harrison in the win with 14 points with Bailey Perkins chipping in 11. Elizabeth Novak led Grundy R-5 with 11 points.

The boy's game was much closer, with the Shamrocks holding off Grundy R-5 by a score of 58-53. North Harrison was led by Garren Gibson with 21 points and Reed Hallock with 15. The Panthers had 22 points from Clayton Radcliff, 12 from Destin Gann, and 11 points for Mason Larson.

The Princeton boys, playing in the Albany Tournament on Tuesday night, fell to South Harrison by a final score of 59-42. Princeton falls into the consolation bracket, and a 9:00 game on Wednesday night against the King City Wildkats.
