Grand River Mutual Telephone has announced the latest round of community improvement grant recipients. The Friends of the Thompson House organization was allocated $250.00 towards renovations of the Thompson House, near Crowder State Park in western Grundy County. The Bethany Kiwanis Club was awarded $500.00. The money will be used to purchase clothing for needy children.
The Decatur County (Iowa) Fair Board is the recipient of a $500.00 grant. It will be used to purchase an energy-efficient fan for a show ring. Applications for the next round of funding are due by December 31st. Application forms are available from GRM's business offices, or online at www.grm.net.
