Three people were hurt when a car overturned south of Stanberry on Tuesday morning. Two passengers, 41-year old Tyler Higgins and his one-year old daughter, Erin Higgins, both of Albany, were taken to Northwest Medical Center in Albany with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
The driver, 63-year old Joseph Higgins of Stanberry, was to seek medical attention on his own for minor injuries. The accident was three miles south of Stanberry on Highway 169. The investigating officer said the northbound car turned from Highway 169 to County Road 460 when Joseph Higgins lost control of the vehicle. The car overturned once, coming to rest in a field, demolishing the vehicle.
The Patrol said one-year old Erin Higgins was the only person using a safety device.
