An Albany man was injured on Monday night in his hometown when he reportedly failed to halt his truck at a stop sign, drove across a street, and struck a light pole. Forty-three year old Robert Sweat was taken by ambulance to Northwest Medical Center in Albany with what the Highway Patrol described as MODERATE injuries.
The accident at the junction of Polk Street and Jackson Street demolished the pickup truck. The Patrol said the driver was not using a seat belt. |
