A Chillicothe woman is hospitalized in Kansas City following a roll-over accident Monday night in rural Livingston County. The Highway Patrol said 32 year old Amanda Robinson was SERIOUSLY injured, and flown by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital on the Plaza.
The patrol said Amanda Robinson was eastbound when her car crested a hill on Highway 190.
The driver observed deer in the roadway. According to an investigating officer, the car went off to the left or north side of the highway; struck multiple trees causing the car to go into a counter clockwise spin. It then rolled and vaulted into the air. While in the air, the vehicle struck another tree, rolled one more time, and came to rest upright.
The Patrol noted Ms. Robinson was trapped in her car and extricated by Livingston County rural fire and rescue. Assisting at the scene were Livingston County Sheriff's Department, a Highway Patrol chaplain, and Chillicothe Emergency Services.
The car was demolished in the 6:30 pm accident six miles west of Chillicothe. The driver was wearing a seat belt.
