The annual Jenkins Townhouse lighting ceremony in Chillicothe will take place on Friday night (November 16th) at 6 o'clock. Santa Claus and his friends will be on hand as a Chillicothe students turns the lights on for the holiday season at the Jenkins Townhouse, located on Cherry Street, west of the Chillicothe Hy-Vee.

Mayor Chuck Haney will serve as the emcee and welcome the crowd to the festivities. The Central School Stingers will perform a number of holiday songs for the crowd. The lights will be turned on by Field Elementary third-grader Quentin Cranmer.

The Chillicothe Rotary Club is organizing this year's event, with assistance from the Salvation Army.
