KTTN/KGOZ News : DAWGS to host "Festival of Trees" on November 23rd

The Disabled Athletes With Grundy Support (DAWGS) organization will hold its fifth annual Festival of Trees on Friday, November 23rd at the Trenton Rock Barn. New this year will be a Christmas Parade at 4:30, with trees and wreaths to be seen from 5 to 7 o'clock, and entertainment provided by the Trenton High School band, Macy Henson and Bri Wilson (both of Trenton) and Tim Cassen of Milan.

There will be an auction of trees and wreaths at 7 o'clock. People wishing to enter the parade or donate a tree or wreath should contact Brenda Thorne or Judie Leininger.

Other activities beginning at 5 o'clock the evening of November 23rd at the Festival of Trees include children being able to make their own gingerbread house and paint a plate for Santa. There also will be horse and buggy rides, kettle corn, a homemade cookie and candy shop, caramel apples, hot dogs, chili dogs, hot chocolate, and soft drinks.

Providers of those services are John and Joyce Tredway, Brad Chumbley, the Trenton High School Key Club and Student Council, Jackie and Connie Hoffman, and ConAgra.
