Two people were hurt near Chillicothe when a car hit the rear of a sport utility vehicle which had stopped to make a left turn. The driver of the SUV, 41-year old Spencer Sutton of Chillicothe, was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries.

The driver of the car, 84-year old Bobby Gipe of Chillicothe, refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries. The accident was Saturday afternoon two miles northwest of Chillicothe on Highway 190.

Both vehicles were westbound on 190, when the investigating officer said that Sutton stopped his SUV to make a left turn on County Road 233, with the SUV hit from behind by the westbound car. Both vehicles were extensively damaged. Both men were wearing seat belts.
