KTTN/KGOZ Sports : Brookfield's defense dominates in 28-0 win over Trenton
Posted by Tom on 2012/10/29 9:39:44 (207 reads) News by the same author

In took five years for rivals Brookfield and Trenton to meet on the football field, and in Friday night's district quarterfinal showdown at Burlington Field, the Brookfield defense was more than ready for the game, shutting down what had been a potent Trenton offense in a 28-0 victory that sends BHS into the district semifinals at Bishop LeBlond on Wednesday night.

In addition to the shutout defense from Brookfield, running back Ramzie Cooper proved to be a difficult stop for the Trenton defense. Cooper scored three touchdowns (two by ground and one on a 50-yard punt return) for Brookfield, now 7-3 on the season.

Trenton, which came into Friday night's game with a two-game winning streak, ends the season with a record of 5-5. Friday night's game was broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.
