Automobile Accidents : Winston man injured in Friday morning wreck

A man from Winston was injured early on Friday morning in a single vehicle accident that occurred one mile north of Cameron.

The Highway Patrol said 22-year old Eric Eiken of Winston received MODERATE injuries when his vehicle traveled off Highway 69, crossed Rogers Road, became airborne, struck the ground, several small trees, and an embankment.

The vehicle was demolished. Eiken was taken by private vehicle to Liberty Hospital. The Patrol said he WAS wearing a seat belt.
