Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation is asking the citizens of Trenton to be aware of the runners and walkers Saturday morning in the southern part of Trenton as they take part in a 5 K and 10 K event known as “The Wright Run.”


The route begins, and ends, at the OLD medical office building on First Street.

Walkers and runners are expected from 8 o’clock to 10 o ‘clock on First Street, Kavanaugh Street, 7th Street, Ridgeway Avenue, Town & Country Lane,
Country Club Place, Debolt Street, 5th Street and Linn Street. Riverside Country Club will also be closed during that time due to the run and walk route involving the golf course.

This event is a fund raiser for the Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation with proceeds going to the proposed walking trail at the new hospital.

The entry fee is 25 dollars a person or a team of four for 100 dollars. Some 167 persons have entered as of Thursday morning. Persons who have paid their entry fee can pick up their “Wright Run” t-shirt today or tomorrow between 11 and 1 o’clock at Trenton Hy-Vee Food Store. Event medals will be awarded to those finishing in the top three of their age group.
