Trenton Middle School won the Trenton Tournament, held on Saturday at the Ebbe Sports Complex. This is the first year for what organizers say will become an annual event.

In the first game, TMS beat Milan 11-8. Highlights included home runs by Whitley Richman and Shayla Woodside; triples by Jayden Roeder and Emily Lynch; a double by Katerina Black; three singles by Tenna Roberts; and two singles by Ashten Whitaker.

Richman had four RBI's, Black three RBI's, and Woodside and Roeder had an RBI apiece. Ashten Whitaker was the winning pitcher.

In the second game against North Harrison, Trenton won by a score of 8-0. Highlights included a triple by Richman, doubles from Jaylen Neff and Claire Utley, with three RBI's for Neff, two for Black, and one each from Utley and Woodside. Winning pitcher Ashten Whitaker had nine strikeouts.

The TMS girls finished their 2012 fall softball season with only one defeat. Great job girls!
