KTTN/KGOZ News : Smoke from Sunday fire forces early school dismissal at Spickard

The Spickard School dismissed classes earlier than usual on Monday. The dismissal time was 11:30, with school buses running at that time.

Spickard Principal Mike Garrett told KTTN that the early out was attributed to smoke from the smoldering ruins of a Sunday house fire about one block northeast of the school building. Garrett said health concerns for staff and students prompted the Monday morning decision to let out classes at 11:30. Lunch was served at 11:00.
