The Trenton Bulldogs dominated their week six game against Lincoln Prep Academy, with senior tailback Austin Taul scoring four touchdowns, with fellow senior Dillon Triplet scoring twice, and senior kicker Seth Acton adding two long field goals in a 56-16 victory at C.F. Russell Stadium.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring with 7:26 left in the first quarter, as Acton hit a 31 yard field goal. Less than two minutes later, after the Bulldog defense forced a Blue Tiger punt, Austin Taul returned a punt for a score for the second time this season. Tom Johnson had the play-by-play call:

Seth Acton got an opportunity for a career-long 43 yard field goal early in the second quarter, and made that attempt, giving THS a 20-0 lead with 11:05 to go in the first half.

A 20 yard run by Taul made it 27-0 Bulldogs just 71 seconds later:

Dillon Triplet scored on an eight-yard pitch with 3:39 to go in the half:

Colby Larson scored on a 48 yard scamper down the south sideline to make the score 42-0 Bulldogs at the break.

Taul scored his FOURTH touchdown of the night on a 24 yard run in the third quarter, and a 75 yard Triplet scamper in the fourth quarter finished the scoring.

The visiting Blue Tigers scored on a 97 yard passing play and an 18 yard pass in the fourth quarter, making the two-point conversions after both scores.

Also of note, in addition to the two field goals made by Trenton's Seth Acton, was a perfect six-for-six for the THS senior on extra-point attempts. Trenton did convert a two-point conversion run by Jacob Spillman in the second quarter, after a flurry of Lincoln Prep penalties gave Trenton the ball at the one yard line, instead of the three.

Trenton head coach Wes Croy was proud of the effort of his football team, both in the game and throughout the week of practice:

The win pushes Trenton's record to 3-3, going into a road test at 6 o'clock this Friday night in Carthage, Illinois, against the Illini West Chargers. The Lincoln Prep Blue Tigers headed back to Kansas City on Friday night with a season record of 2-4.
