The Trenton Middle School Bulldogs played host to the Princeton Tigers Thursday at CF Russell Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter, QB Spencer Harris ignited the Bulldog offense and the crowd with a 49 yard gain to the Tiger 2 yard line. He finished the drive on the next play and the Bulldogs led 6-0 with 3:43 remaining in the half.
On Princeton's next possession, Drew Rorebeck recovered a Tiger fumble at the 41. With 2:21 remaining, Harris hooked up with Rorebeck on a 40 yard pass play for a TD. Austin Burkeybile's PAT run gave the Bulldogs a 14 point lead at the half.
A 34 yard run by Harris at the 5:29 mark of the third quarter increased the lead to 20. Both offenses were able to move the ball in the final period, but penalties and turnovers prevented additional scoring. The final score was Trenton 20, Princeton 0.
