The Trenton Lady Bulldogs won a tight first set, and cruised to the victory over East Buchanan on Tuesday night by dominating set #2, moving to within one win of the .500 mark after the performance in the THS gym.

The first set went 26-24 in favor of THS, while the second set was 25-16.

For Trenton, Katie Ireland had a tremendous net game, with six kills and two blocks. Lakisha Hughs had five kills and a block, with Bekah Wiggins and Kelsey Scott contributing two kills each, with Scott adding one block.

Courtney Weyer and Gwen Delp each had eight digs, while Kate Ewald had eight assists, with Malinda Foster adding three. Kelsey Scott and Bekah Wiggins each had two ace serves.

The Trenton JV beat East Buchanan in straight sets, 25-13, 26-24.

The Trenton volleyball teams, with the varsity having a chance to reach the elusive .500 mark, will next be in action on Monday night (October 1st), in 5 o'clock matches at Chillicothe High School against a Lady Hornet varsity that improved to 6-6 on Thursday night with a straight set victory over Cameron.
