News : United Way to host "Pancake Feed" at Trenton Hy-Vee

Grundy County United Way holds its annual pancake feed on Saturday, October 13th. It is eat and pay what you want for the pancakes, sausage, juice, and milk. Serving is the morning of October 13th from 7 to 10 o'clock at the Trenton Hy-Vee. The pancake feed is a kickoff for the new fundraising year.

Grundy County United Way has a fundraising goal of $24,000 in the upcoming campaign year. The money will benefit 14 organizations. Those are, in no particular order, the Community Food Pantry, Green Hills Women's Shelter, Juvenile Court Diversion Program, the Juvenile Office, the North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, the North 65 Center, Grundy County Falls Risk Coalition, the Grundy County Learning Center, Grundy County 4-H, Boy Scouts, Parents as Teachers, Little League Football, and Kids Wrestling.

Instead of door-to-door canvassing, envelopes seeking donations for Grundy County United Way will be placed in the Green Hills Shopper the week of October 10th.
