The Trenton High School girl's golf team finished runner-up to the host Kirksville Lady Tigers on Monday, in the annual Kirksville Invitational Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs, buoyed by the strength of three golfers in the top 10 individually, shot 422, while KHS shot 411, led by individual medalist Ellie Dublin's round of 95.

Dublin had to hold on for the win, as after scorching the course over the front nine with a 42, she struggled down the back nine with a 53. However, the combined score was one stroke better than the 96 turned in by second-place golfer Miranda White of Brookfield.

There was a tie for third place, with Trenton High School senior Chandler Wilson and Kirksville's Chade Shorten shooting 98's. Those four were the only golfers going "Under 100" for the day.

There was a three-way tie for fifth place that included two THS golfers, as Katie Lenhart, Haley Purkapile, and Mexico's Layne Ray shot 101. Putnam County's top score was Kailey Campbell's 102 (for eighth place), while Brookfield's Nicole Liebhart was ninth at 103, and Marceline's Kyla Swanson tenth at 104.
