Comfort Inn and Suites of Chillicothe will hold a Five Kilometer run and walk in early November to benefit a family readiness group for the Army National Guard unit in Chillicothe. There is also a one mile "Fun Run" for children ages 14 and younger.

Registration forms are due by the afternoon of October 19th at 5 o'clock, to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. The pre-registration charge is $25.00. The cost is $30.00 on the day of the race (November 3rd at 8 o'clock). The registration fee is $10.00 for the one mile fun run for children.

Medals will be presented to the top two finishers in every age group. The top overall male and female finishers will earn a GRAND PRIZE. All participants will receive refreshments and goodie bags, and there will be door prizes for giveaway.

The event is officially called the third annual "TURKEY TROT". All proceeds will benefit the family readiness group for Battery B of the 1/129th field artillery unit in Chillicothe.
