The Milan Lady Wildcats were able to reach the semifinal round of the Schuyler County Tournament on Saturday, only to have back-to-back losses against Tri-Rivers Conference competition leaving Milan in fourth place at the end of the day.

The best player on the field throughout the day was Knox County's Bailey Couch, who drove home seven runs over two games as the Lady Eagles won the tournament to improve to 14-1 on the season. Knox County downed host Schuyler County 4-2 in an eight inning championship game.

Scotland County improved to 10-4 on the season by beating Milan 5-3 in the third place game. La Plata finished fifth with an 8-4 win over Brashear.

Milan has a return trip to Schuyler County planned for Monday, with a 5:00 first pitch against the Lady Rams, before returning home to take on Linn County on Tuesday night and Putnam County on Thursday night.
