Homecoming week 2012 has begun at Trenton High School, with activities throughout the week to build up toward Friday night's home football game against the Pembroke Hill Raiders, and a dance for THS students to follow.

Spirit Week activities are being put on by the THS Student Council, with many area businesses having agreed to have their windows in support of the THS Bulldogs.

Dress up days include "Lil 'Kid Day" on Monday, "80's/Rocker/Big Hair Band Day" on Tuesday, "Dress Up/Dress Down Day" on Wednesday, "Neon Day" on Thursday, and "Blackout Day" on Friday.

Sundaes were served on Monday by the Student Council and THS Mascots to the students who dressed up to show "Bulldog Spirit".

The annual Homecoming Pep Rally at C.F. Russell Stadium will be held on Wednesday night at 8:30, with all fall sports teams introduced, followed by the coronation and bonfire.

Homecoming QUEEN candidates are seniors Rahel Horner, Shelby Lowrey, and Haley Purkapile. Senior KING candidates are Nathan Koon, Jacob Spillman, and Dillon Triplet.

Junior attendants are Megan Ellis and Joshua Davis. Sophomore attendants are Mallory Hooyman and Cade Mullenix. Freshman attendants are Daryian Otto and Travis Leeper, with Riley Gott and Mady Tipton serving as prince and princess.

The THS Mascots, on Thursday night at Hy-Vee during the 'Dawg Bites' program on Hot Country Z 101.7, will be customer appreciation carry-outs and give-aways.

School will dismiss for the parade at 1:07 on Friday afternoon. The parade itself will roll from the THS parking lot at 2:00, with Grand Marshals Mike and Beverly Bosley leading the way.

The football game with Pembroke Hill on Friday night will be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com. The homecoming dance will feature music provided by "Night Magic" DJ services, running from 9:30 to 11:30 in the THS gymnasium. Admission to the dance is $4.00 per person or $7.00 four couples.
