KTTN/KGOZ News : Self-Defense classes for females to be held in Livingston County

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with a non-profit organization that teaches self-defense to girls and women, will be offering a self-defense course on Friday and Saturday, October 19th and 20th. It is for girls ages 12 and older and women of all ages, with the cost set at $25.00, and instruction to be from 6 PM to 9 PM on the 19th, and 8 to 5 o'clock on the 20th.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department is partnering with "Power Up", a non-profit group. A Livingston County deputy, who is a certified pepper spray instructor, will provide teaching into using pepper spray.

Registration for the course is due by Wednesday, October 10th. Information is available from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department in Chillicothe.
