Bethany native and North Central Missouri College graduate Jessica (Prewitt) Stonecypher was recently named to the 2012 National Junior College Athletic Association Academic All-American Team for women’s basketball.

Jessica received the pinnacle award for academic excellence due to earning a 4.0 grade point average during her two years at NCMC. She was a team captain this past season for the Lady Pirates.

Jessica is the daughter of Marty and Julie Prewitt and was recently married to Jared Stonecypher, also an NCMC graduate. She is a graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany.
